Lo-Budget Mayhem

An LSFF staple for almost two decades, our Lo-Budget Mayhem programme is goldmine of unadulterated creativity, with last year’s winner (Hugh Clegg’s What I Imagined the dying fly, with the broken leg, was feeling) made for the princely sum of £1.84. This programme of short (often very short) films proves that you don’t need a huge budget and extensive post-production to get your vision onto the big screen.

A disappointing trip to the seaside, a fake fast-food advertisement (name redacted), and a timeless tale of disaster-capitalism-meets-dating-app; we’ll see you at the Rio for an afternoon of DIY talent, both inspired and inspiring. Featuring new work from Sophie Ansell, Duncan Cowles, Rob Munday and Ted Marsden.
